I met Becki and George at Shambala festival 2023 through a friend of a friend. They wanted a crew to camp with in their van so they joined us.

They parked next to my tent and for the next 4 days, we were neighbours.

We didn’t arrange to meet up throughout the festival, but we kept bumping into each other at the front of tents playing Drum and Bass.

A few months passed and I received an invite to their wedding!

Our mutual friend couldn’t make it, so I was left pondering whether or not to turn up to a wedding where I only knew the bride and groom, and had technically only met them once.

Feeling like I couldn’t turn up empty handed, I painted the embodiment of how we connected in the first place.

This piece now hangs on their beautiful gallery wall amongst their lovely collection of original art, and we are now best friends :).
