I love a project opportunity, so when Pipo handed me the circuit board he and Tom had salvaged from their old DJ decks, I was so excited!

Due to the shape, it seemed obvious to turn them into decks, but how, took me some time to figure out.

I’m a hug fan of negative space in art and design, so this became a big part of the visual element, allowing me to create the decks, whilst retaining the detail of the circuit board underneath.

Mixed media, using UV reactive paints, spray paint and acrylic.

And yes, cutting the masking tape to FOREVER!
